Homemade Muscle and Joint Rub

This is a great way to use the power of essential oils at home.  Use the best quality of oils you can find – I recommend Snow Lotus essential oils.  They are of the highest quality and have maximum therapeutic potency.  Rosemary is an herbaceous green oil, which is great for pain and for boosting qi.  Lavender is also an herbaceous green that has great pain relieving properties, and relaxes the nervous system.  Lavender regulates qi and calms the mind.  Nutmeg is a great oil for muscle ache.  It’s especially good for situations where the body has built up tension fatigue such as in Yang deficiency.

*1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

*2 teaspoons beeswax

*20 drops rosemary essential oil

*20 drops lavender essential oil

*10 drops nutmeg oil

Melt the oil and beeswax in a saucepan on low heat until melted, stirring with a wooden spoon.  Turn off the heat and stir in the essential oils while stirring.  Pour into a small glass container.  I like to use 4 oz mason jars.  Store in a cool, dry place for up to a year.

To use:

Rub a small amount of the mixture in your hands to melt and warm the oils.  Rub on sore muscles or joints and enjoy!
